Donald Trump reveals launch date for his family’s crypto project
BitVerge – Trump said the WLF project is looking to keep up with future developments with its approach of ending the era of “slow and outdated big banking institutions.”
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced on Thursday that the launch date for his family’s crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLF) is September 16. “Join me live on Twitter Spaces at 8 p.m. on September 16th for the launch of World Liberty Financial,” Trump said in a video posted on Twitter’s X platform. “We are moving forward with digital currencies, leaving behind the slow, outdated transactions of big banks.”
Trump’s sons, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., have been hinting at the long-awaited crypto project for some time, but its launch has been delayed by scams aimed at misleading Trump supporters by creating fake websites and hacking other Trump family members’ social media accounts.

WLF developers set to unveil project during live broadcast from Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort
The WLF Foundation announced on its official Telegram channel that the project launch will take place during a live broadcast from Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort, where the team said: “Get ready to follow our plan to make finance great again,” adding: “This is a historic event not to be missed!”
The team had previously revealed that the project aims to use stablecoins owned by US-based companies as a global financial settlement layer during the current century. The project has partnered with security institutions – such as Tokyo, Fuzzland, Peckshield, and BlockSecTeam – who have reviewed and audited the project’s code. The project also aims to create a decentralized financial system using the Aave project’s non-custodial lending platform.
